I Must Have More Anime Stuff

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 4:30 am

Sometimes I can’t help but buy things based on anime that I’ve seen. My brother thinks I’m silly, even though I see him buying all kinds of action figures from the various video games and movies that he watches. For some reason, he considers it perfectly normal when he does it. One thing that I recently purchased from an online store was an Umaru cute headband. The headband is worn whenever you want to wash your face, and it’s shaped like an animal, and even has cute eyes. (more…)

Turning Dark Circles into Lighter Ones

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 4:30 am

I generally don’t think too much about criticisms that people give me, but something a previous boyfriend really stuck with me. He told me one night that my nipples were really dark. While he said that he liked dark nipples, I wasn’t too fond of them. I always thought my nipple were the average color, but I guess not. I looked into nipple bleaching to make my nipples a lighter color. I was afraid that I would have to do some kind of expensive procedure to get my nipples lighter, but I learned that it could be easily done with a topical cream.

I purchased a tube of cream from an online store to use as a test product. I rubbed a little bit of the cream on my nipples and monitored the results. (more…)

The Band I Started in High School Was Professional from the Start

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 8:32 pm

I started a band in high school. I took singing and playing music seriously, so I actually interviewed potential band members before I was even old enough to drive. I developed the graphics, stage lighting, website, social media and wrote the songs. I needed band members that could read music and who wanted to be professionals. We even wrote licensing agreements for everything each of us contributed to the project. My parents bought us a giant band banner for the high school stage for our concert we were putting on for the graduation events. The senior class had asked us to play a one hour set for their graduation week. (more…)

There is More to Buying an Insurance Agency Than Meets the Eye

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 8:32 pm

When I was in high school my friends all talked about what they were going to do when they graduated college or after high school. Most of them had plans on working in medicine or becoming lawyers or rising up the corporate ladder to become CEOs. When they asked me, I told them I was going to sell insurance. They thought I was nuts. However, the insurance industry is pretty much the biggest industry in the world. My wife and I built a nice business, and now we are showing potential buyers of our firm that buying an insurance agency is more than just buying a business. It is buying a legacy that can last for generations.

Where we live it is about impossible for us to go out and not see people all day long that we have sold insurance to. Just about every neighbor, business, mom and pop shop, corporation and even places over in the industrial park have policies with us. We sell, auto, life, home, business and industrial insurance policies. Our firm has put three kids through college and have allowed us to build the home of our dreams in the town that we love. A Short List for Finding the Best Scale Makers

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 5:30 pm

My brothers and I had to investigate truck scale manufacturers after our father recently passed away. He ran a small trucking firm for the last ten years of his life and upon his passing we inherited the firm. Unfortunately, none of us knew much about running such a company. I’m a lawyer, my brother is a chef, and my other brother is an accountant. Trucking? We didn’t know anything about it, but we also wanted to keep the business in the family. That meant we had to take an honest look at the company and see how we could run it.

Fortunately, my father hired pretty good people and they wanted to keep their jobs so they helped us get up to speed. The guy in charge of weighing the trucks did have a beef, however. (more…)

Why a Budget VPS Can Save You Money with Your Growing Website

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 4:31 pm

My website started out as a blog. I did go ahead and buy my own domain name I thought up. Then I started the blog using shared hosting. There was not a lot of traffic, so the low-cost shared hosting was plenty fast enough. As I built an audience, I needed to add more things to keep them interested. Then I needed more control over the actual computer where my site was shared. I needed to have certain versions of backend software that worked with the software that my blog runs on. What I needed was a budget VPS because then I could actually control things down to the operating system level.

If VPS technology was not available, I would have to get a dedicated server at the place that hosts my website. I did not have the traffic and sales to afford that. A Virtual Private Server is sort of like how shared hosting works. When you are on a shared server for your website, that means a bunch of different websites are physically stored on that computer. As requests to see pages or do things on the different websites come in, they are allocated on a first come first served basis. (more…)

How Safe Can This Be?

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 8:31 pm

When I saw my friend using this herbal mix for smoking I immediately got to wondering what it really was. Of course I could not help thinking about the classic scam where people would sell oregano or grass clippings as marijuana. You have to be pretty slow to fall for that and I suppose it would not work any more. I really wonder what the point of this stuff is at any rate. The web site I found says that you can reduce tobacco consumption or quit entirely by smoking the pleasant blend on its own. Of course tobacco is addictive and if you are addicted to something that is the one thing that you want. (more…)

Really Works Well with the Big Dogs

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 4:30 am

I bought a leather walking leash for my new dog about four months after I got him. I was using one of those cheap cloth ones with the retractor you get at the local store, and it worked great when he was a puppy. We would go for the walks and it was easy to control his movements. We enjoyed our walks a lot for those first four months. Then he started growing. As everyone knows, dogs grow really fast and before you know it that adorable little puppy is a beast of an animal who can jerk that leash right out of your hands.

After the second time he jerked the leash out of my hands and ran off, I knew I needed something far more durable. My need for a new leash became immediate when my dog actually broke that cloth leash! I couldn’t believe it, but he’s getting so strong that maybe it was only a matter of time before it happened. I had to move fast to get something that would work because taking him out for a walk without any leash whatsoever was impossible. I had to lean down and hold his collar and sort of move him around the back yard.

So I got online and found a leather leash that is super strong. It’s thick and no nonsense and works like a charm. I got it rush delivered and when we went on the first walk with it my dog immediately tried to jerk it out of my hand. It didn’t work. I was able to easily pull on this new strong leash and bring him to heel quite quickly. I recommend anyone who plans on getting a large dog to go ahead and pick up this type of leash right from the first day.

The Best Snow Shovel Was Online

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 4:30 am

Every winter, it is the same old thing. Temperatures drop, snow falls from the sky, and it accumulates into horrible piles on my sidewalk and driveway. I actually do love the snow, but I don’t like shoveling it. I don’t shirk my duties, but that does not mean I have to enjoy it. This year, I decided to get smart about it though. Last winter, my neighbor told me that he had bought the best snow shovel ever, and it made shoveling the snow much easier for him. I tried out his shovel, but I did not like it.

It did get me to thinking though that perhaps I just hadn’t found the perfect shovel for myself. When I walk through the hardware store, I see different kinds of shovels, but I had no idea what the benefits of each one was. (more…)

We Are Making the Best Use of Our New Electronic Whiteboards in Our Training Rooms

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 1:30 pm

In our training rooms we took out all the whiteboards that use the erasable markers. In their place we had electronic whiteboard installation completed. These devices are really cool for any sort of presentation. You probably have seen something similar on news shows. It is a screen where you can control and interact with what is being displayed. You can highlight, pinch and zoom, write and draw and more on an electronic whiteboard. It can do everything a regular whiteboard can do plus project high-definition video and it has sound.

The whiteboard installation is connected through a computer system that has access to our intranet and the Internet. (more…)

Letter Writer for Marketing Purposes

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 4:30 am

Marketing is one of the most valuable tools to a business, and honestly I do not think that the vast majority of businesses put enough effort into it. My business started out as a brick and mortar business, but after a few years, we took a leap and decided to become an internet-only business. It’s not a path many businesses follow but it makes sense for my business and its niche. But it puts a high demand on marketing and so I am currently looking for a sales letter writer to hire for some work. I have not decided if it is going to be a temporary need, or if I want to hire someone permanently for the task. (more…)

I Wanted Professional Letterhead Stationary

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 4:30 am

When I decided to start my own business, I knew that I was going to have to drum up a lot of work for myself. The best way for me to do this was to appeal directly to the businesses in my own area that could benefit from using my services. That meant that I would need to find a company that does letterhead printing in Brisbane so I could have a very professional look. I knew that this could make me or break me, so I also had to find a company that could do this at a price that would not break my bank account.

I know a lot of people handle printing of this type of material on their own, but I also knew that the professionals who did it are much better at it. I did not want to create my own template and just pull it up whenever I wanted to use it. I wanted a professional letterhead on professional stationary stock that was going to make the recipient take notice. I did not want it to look like I had just printed it from my computer myself. I Wanted Something Bigger and Much Nicer

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 4:30 am

My mom is thMy mom is the one who told me that leasing a condo is the best idea because you do not have a big yard to take care of or have to deal with a lot of other things that comes with being a homeowner. I thought she was right at first, but then I realized that leasing is not something I wanted to continue to do. I wanted to be part of the Capitola real estate market and buy something that belonged to only me. I did not want to have to answer to a landlord anymore.

When I lived in a condo, it was nice to not have to mow a big yard. I did not have to worry about the yard out front because the landlord kept that looking great for all of us who are his tenants. (more…)

Our Obsession with Perfect Teeth

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 5:30 am

Perfect teeth. It’s a trait of American beauty that we put on a pedestal which, for a lot of people, means thousands of dollars being spent at their local dentist in Grand Rapids. Is it worth it? The health of our teeth is important, there’s no denying that but are they important enough that we must shape them to perfect lines of brilliant white? It’s a wonder where the obsession for that perfected image of teeth came from; I have no idea myself but as a kid it put a great deal of stress on me due to my crooked bottom teeth. They’re hardly noticeable but they were enough for the other kids to make fun of them. My parents couldn’t afford braces for me so I’ve had the same two crooked teeth all my life and even now I have moments where I feel a certain insecurity whenever I smile. It’s inescapable.

But we continue to push forward the ideal image of what teeth should look like. It sometimes makes me wonder whether or not those advertisements are paid by the dental associaton. (more…)

A Chance Meeting at a Convention

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 5:32 pm

Falling in love is a very crazy and confusing process. It is not logical. It happens by chance. No one can predict when it will happen. It is totally spontaneous. I experienced this situation myself. I know firsthand about the mysteries of love and attraction. One example is my chance encounter with my now fiancee Yeeun. We met at a Ewen Chia convention in Atlanta. This experience brought us together as a couple. Hopefully, it will bring us together as a future husband and wife. I cannot wait to marry the woman who is the love of my life.

Five years ago, I was invited to attend a business seminar hosted by Ewen Chia in Atlanta. At first, I was hesitant, but I decided to go at the last minute. I needed this opportunity to network with potential partners and meet my future clientele. The convention was hosted a very high end hotel in the downtown area. It had almost fifty floors. (more…)

A Change from the Usual

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 1:32 pm

Sometimes I envy men because they don’t have to worry so much about their hair like women do. They certainly spend a lot less on hair products than we do. My friends and I have spent a lot of money on weave over the years. We buy the same straight hair weave every couple of weeks and get our hair stylist to put it in. The hair industry is probably making a killing from the three of us alone. Recently, I decided to take a different approach with my hair and use a curly weave rather than the normal straight one.

My friends were shocked to see that I was trying something different with my hair. I had never worn a curly hair style for as long as I’ve known them. (more…)
